EQ Not IQ is the Differentiator in Attaining Optimal Performance Workshop
Stress can distract you from being productive and achieving your full potential. It’s not possible for you to eliminate all the stress in your life. But what if you had the skills to cope with stress so that you could maximize your talent, realize great business results, and live a happy life?
This two-hour workshop’s design centers on the fundamentals of EQ – Emotional Intelligence – and the dramatic effect that stress imparts on us physiologically. 98% of the people who have participated in this workshop have stated that we made a compelling case that EQ is a better harbinger of optimal performance than IQ and over 99% said it was a good use of their time.
This workshop was created to stimulate interest in our MYT Original™ or an MYT Express™ programs but it stands by itself as being instrumental in helping participants. Our standard bearer program, MYT Original™ has been dramatic in building neuropathways that are reliable in changing habits. Look at these results garnered after 8 years of research. They are startling by any statistical standard that scientists use to measure progress.
- Decreased stress scores – down 26%
- Decreased Anger scores – down 13%
- Increased Vitality scores – up 10%
- Increased Quality of Life Scores – up 12%
- Increased Positive States Scores – up 19%
- Increased productivity – participants in this project demonstrated a 50%-400% improvement in productivity over their peers which led to an average increase in sales of 25%.
The workshop opens with an explanation of what EQ is made up of based on the work of acclaimed Harvard University Professor and writer, Daniel Goleman. Lively stories add a tone of entertainment but they are crisp in their definition of the point at hand. We then take attendees through two exercises that immediately can be implemented to help lower stress. Next we explain how the brain instigates the production of the chemicals and their impact on us physiologically. As the connection to the brains science is made, the audience is fascinated as to how the mind can begin using the brain as a resource to neutralize the negative impact of stress. A condensed version of a National Geographic video is then introduced that shows the work of Stanford Professor Robert Sapolsky and his research into the damage of chronic stress on productivity. In wrapping up the event, we summarize the information previously presented and loop back to the questions the audience wanted answered at the beginning of the workshop to see if they have been addressed.

What is this EQ vs. IQ all about?
This promotional workshop is intended to build a compelling case that EQ – Emotional Intelligence – is more important today than IQ in being able to attain optimal performance. Emotional Competence is the ability to utilize that body of EQ knowledge effectively so that you can be as productive as is humanly possible while at work or away from work.
Who can benefit from learning how EQ can help them?
There are a number of applications. Most notably are those who struggle with work/home balance, those who find it difficult to relax after a strenuous day, those whose emotions rule the day making it challenging for them to get to a calm state when facing the challenge of competing emotions, those who go through staff or personnel more rapidly than the norm for their industry, and those who cannot keep “A” players on their team very long.
What does MYT Group, LLC do to help participants?
In simple terms, we teach Mind Skills™. Once we develop an IDP – Individual Development Plan – for each program attendee, we work with them over a 6 month time frame building the neuro pathways to new habits to support them in their life’s journey.
What have been the results?
People who graduate from our program see increases in productivity (which eliminates cost as an obstacle), decreases in stress and anger, and increases in vitality, positive states, & emotional well being. That is the reason they can now operate at optimal performance more consistently at work and at home. This promotional workshop will go through all of these details.
