November 2011 Interview: Edith Stahl

Interview with Edith Stahl

How did you hear about MYT and its EQ work?
I heard about MYT and its EQ work when I joined up at an associate’s practice.

What was your first experience like?
Very enlightening on how to handle work and life situations.

How did you react to your IDP (Individual Development Plan)? Do you still refer to it?
I thought it was exactly who I am and pointed out my strength and weaknesses.  Also, I carry it with me in the car each day.

Did you receive focused, direct, and honest feedback from your “observers?”
Yes.

Tell the readers about the coaching calls. What were they like?
They were very good.  They would zero in on the problem right away and they would walk me through on how to handle the situation going forward.

How many times have you been through the workshop?
Once.

Are they still helpful? Do you feel you are more emotionally competent? If so, can you share an experience where it helped you?
Every time I experience something either at work or in my personal life, I think about the program. The first thing that comes to mind is to take a deep breath before I do anything. On a personal level, taking deep breaths today as I am going in tomorrow for a possible biopsy. The breaths help calm me down and help me to deal with any potential news whether they be good or bad. I am going in with a positive attitude.

Was attending MYT worth the investment and if so how can you quantify it?
This was a little difficult for me to answer as I did not pay for MYT experience personally; it was a service provided by my job for when I was hired. The only thing I can say is that for personal reasons at this moment the MYT experience has been very helpful to keep me upbeat at home and at work – priceless.
