Interview with Larry Sangiradi

How did you hear about MYT and its EQ work?
I had heard of MYT through colleagues and through my consultant Art DeLorenzo.

What was your first experience like?
First experience was at the MYT group meeting, it was very thought provoking and I felt that this was different than what I had gone through in any other program. The focus was around driving results of your life/business while reducing stress.

How did you react to your IDP and do you still refer to it?
My Idp was extremely accurate, and had pinpointed even better than I could, what areas I should be working on and more importantly how to correct some of my shortcomings. The IDP lists specific actionable steps that I can incorporate into my every day life to help me deal with current issues, and still stay focused on my vision.

Did you receive focused, direct, & honest feedback from your “observers”?
Yes, I received specific feedback from my observers – initially the feedback was additional feedback that supported my areas of opportunity – as I progressed through the program the feedback was on how well I was executing the changes outlined.

Tell the readers about the coaching calls – what were they like?
The coaching calls reinforced and stayed on point with the IDP. Checking in to see what areas were working well, and what areas were not. Each call, I also had another issue I was dealing with that I would bring to the table and discuss – and while it was not part of the IDP, they helped me address it. By my last coaching call I feel like I made a breakthrough, that brought all of the components of the program together – I don’t feel I would have made the same progress without the calls, by having a monthly call with professional consultants is a true form of accountability.

How many times have you been through the workshop? Are they still helpful?
Twice- and each time I have gone through I have walked away with additional concepts, or have gone deeper on some of the fundamentals.

Do you feel you are more emotionally competent? If so, can you share an experience where it helped you?
Yes, I feel more emotionally competent – An experience that it helped me, is in the area of reduced agonizing and awfulizing over issues – I had recently received some negative news on a Friday afternoon; that in the past would have been on my mind for the entire weekend, even though I couldn’t address till Monday. In this particular situation, I was able to not stress about it, and put it away until I could actually work on the issue, and not only did it help me to salvage and enjoy the weekend, but I feel I was in a better frame of mind to address on Monday.

Was attending MYT worth the investment and if so how can you quantify it?
It was a great investment! Can you put a price on living longer? Well , I can share with you that I feel I am more inclined to achieve my goals; which is increasing my business results. I was introduced to the concept of ambitious contentment; meaning you can drive results, but you don’t have to be total stressed doing it – so think about what is it worth to achieve your goals with less stress? How much more energy will you have to set even higher goals? That is the quantitative value I received: increased income and value of my business.
